Fox Chase Cancer Center

Robert C. Young, MD, Pavilion

This project consisted of the demolition of existing buildings and the construction of a new Cancer Research Pavilion as an extension of the existing Cancer Research Pavilion that was constructed in 2000. This extension expanded the Radiation Oncology Department to included three radiation therapy vaults, a Women’s Center, research, and teaching laboratories.

Additionally, there was an infrastructure improvement phase. This was the replacement of two large centrifugal chillers, associated pumps and cooling towers while the building remained occupied and the chilled water plant operational. It also consisted of the construction of a five-story, 600 car parking garage, pedestrian connector and a water tower refinishing project, all being completed concurrently.
