University of Pennsylvania – Rosenthal Building

The University of Pennsylvania’s Rosenthal Building was constructed in 1964 and consists of 59,500 sq ft within a 5-story structure. Also known as the Vet School Addition, Rosenthal was renovated within 14-phases. This project consisted of the replacement of the entire HVAC system, inclusive of a steam to hot water generation plant with complete pumping and distribution systems. There was one 80,000 cfm outdoor VAV air handling unit with combined exhaust / energy recovery system. Along with the equipment upgrades, the entire ductwork distribution system will be replaced. In addition, new domestic water distribution and sewage ejection systems were replaced in their entirety as well.
