This new center, located in Atlantic City, was constructed to serve the underprivileged youth of Atlantic City, NJ. This school/daycare center is designed for children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years old, to provide affordable daycare and educational services. Hurricane Sandy had severely damaged four of the centers in the area, displacing almost 200 students who attended these locations.
The new three story state-of-the-art building was built with a steel roof system designed to consider the potential impact of future weather related events. The steel supports for the roof that can withstand winds of up to 165mph, and the windows that withstand 115mph winds. The new facility has 20 classrooms, colorful stone floor pathways, playgrounds, an indoor gym and a rooftop garden, an education center and administration offices.
